About This Website
This website is designed to serve a unique niche:
Providing architectural and engineering job seekers with the ability to
search for prospective employers based on a variety of criteria,
subsequently obtaining informative
standardized descriptive profiles of firms identified through the search
conducted - profiles
example) which include a direct weblink to the "job openings" section of each
firm's website, thereby giving users "one-click" instant
viewing access to all job/career opportunities currently available with that
firm. In many cases users can then quickly and conveniently submit their
resumes online directly to the firm for immediate consideration.
A prime user group of this website are
graduating college students majoring in either architecture or engineering.
Approximately 400 schools nationwide offer accredited degree programs in
either architecture or engineering. We reach out to this targeted student
audience both through each school's architecture/engineering program, as
well as through each school's associated Career Center. Starting with the
2007-08 academic year, a key component of this outreach will be the annual
publication of a hardcopy "Students' Guide to Employers of Architects and
Engineers" that will be delivered free-of-charge to all 400 schools
nationwide that offer degree programs in architecture or engineering.
To find out about having your firm include in
either the online or hardcopy version of the Employers Guide, please contact
us at
employersguide@dedicatedengineers.org.
Finally,
Engineers
Dedicated to a Better Tomorrow
(a.k.a., "Dedicated Engineers") is a
charitable/educational non-profit organization
dedicated to “making a
difference,” both in terms of advancing the engineering profession, as well
as in helping improve the world through the practice of engineering.
We have produced two other popular websites similarly
structured – namely, The Online Guide to Engineering Colleges (www.Engineering-Colleges.info)
and The Online Guide to Computer Science Colleges (www.CS-Colleges.info).
